The Mizutani Penslim is a high-performance professional haircutting shear reintroduced for worldwide availability after originally launching as a North American exclusive. Developed in close collaboration with Nicole Brown of San Francisco, this lightweight shear is forged using proprietary Nano Powder Metal and advanced powder metallurgy to provide an ultra-clean steel structure with exceptional edge longevity.

This model features the signature “Penslim blade” profile, engineered with an ultra-thin geometry where the tip measures exactly 2mm. Despite its slender build, the blade delivers remarkable structural strength, allowing shorter lengths (5.0 and 5.5) to excel at intricate detail cutting while the larger size (6.0) handles perimeter lines and scissor-over-comb techniques cleanly. Designed with a perfectly balanced center position, it incorporates wide-grip handles and enlarged finger loops to optimize hand comfort and control.
