These Shear Sharpening Service Terms apply to shear sharpening appointments, corrective shear repair, advanced correction work, on-site sharpening visits, booking payments, cancellations, rescheduling, no-shows, and related service charges provided by Prodigy Supply Co.

By booking a shear sharpening appointment, submitting a service request, paying a booking amount, or receiving shear sharpening services from Prodigy Supply Co., you agree to these terms.

Service Overview

Prodigy Supply Co. offers professional shear sharpening services for eligible barber, stylist, grooming, and professional-use shears.

Services may be performed on-site, at a mobile service location, or through another service method approved by Prodigy Supply Co.

Service availability depends on location, scheduling availability, shear condition, service scope, payment status, and operational needs.

Appointment Approval

Submitting a booking request does not guarantee appointment approval.

Prodigy Supply Co. may approve, decline, reschedule, or request more information before confirming an appointment.

Reasons an appointment may be declined or modified include scheduling conflicts, service area limits, incomplete customer information, payment issues, unsafe service conditions, shear condition, minimum quantity requirements, or operational limitations.

Pricing

Standard shear sharpening is priced at $45 per shear unless otherwise stated in writing.

A minimum of 5 shears is required for a shear sharpening appointment.

The minimum booking amount is $225, which equals 5 shears at $45 per shear.

The $225 minimum booking payment is applied toward the approved shear sharpening appointment. It is not an additional fee when the appointment is completed according to these terms.

Additional Shears

If the customer has more than 5 shears, additional shears may be charged at $45 per shear unless otherwise stated in writing.

Additional same-day charges may be collected on-site, through a separate WooCommerce manual order, through a payment link, or through another approved payment method.

Corrective Repair and Advanced Correction

Some shears may require corrective repair, advanced correction, restoration work, or extra service beyond standard sharpening.

Corrective repair or advanced correction may be charged at $75 per shear unless otherwise stated in writing.

Prodigy Supply Co. may inspect the shear before confirming whether standard sharpening, corrective repair, advanced correction, or another service level is appropriate.

If corrective repair or advanced correction is recommended, the customer may need to approve the additional charge before that work is performed.

Inspection and Service Eligibility

All shears are subject to inspection.

Prodigy Supply Co. may decline to service a shear if the shear is damaged beyond practical repair, unsafe to service, heavily altered, missing parts, counterfeit, contaminated, excessively worn, improperly assembled, previously damaged, or otherwise unsuitable for sharpening.

Prodigy Supply Co. does not guarantee that every shear can be restored to original factory condition.

Sharpening may improve cutting performance, but results depend on the shear’s brand, age, steel quality, prior sharpening history, damage, maintenance, usage, and overall condition.

Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for providing accurate booking information, service location details, contact information, shear count, and any relevant notes about the condition of the shears.

Customers should have the shears ready and accessible at the scheduled appointment time.

Customers are responsible for confirming the appointment location, appointment time, and any building, parking, access, or safety instructions needed for the service visit.

Appointment Location

Shear sharpening appointments may be performed at the customer’s shop, work location, event location, or another approved location.

The service location must be safe, accessible, and suitable for the work being performed.

Prodigy Supply Co. may decline, reschedule, or stop service if the location is unsafe, inaccessible, not approved, or not suitable for service.

Booking Payment

A $225 minimum booking payment is required for shear sharpening appointments unless Prodigy Supply Co. approves a different arrangement in writing.

This payment covers the 5-shear minimum and is applied toward the appointment total.

If fewer than 5 shears are provided at the appointment, the $225 minimum booking payment still applies and may not be reduced.

Cancellation Policy

Customers must cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time.

If a customer cancels less than 24 hours before the appointment, the $225 minimum booking payment may be forfeited.

If a customer does not show up, is unavailable, provides an inaccessible location, or is not ready for the appointment, the appointment may be treated as a no-show and the $225 minimum booking payment may be forfeited.

Rescheduling by Customer

If the customer reschedules with proper notice of at least 24 hours before the appointment, the $225 minimum booking payment may remain credited toward the rescheduled appointment.

Rescheduled appointments are subject to availability.

Repeated rescheduling, incomplete information, lack of response, or inability to confirm a new appointment time may result in cancellation or forfeiture of the booking payment at Prodigy Supply Co.’s discretion.

Rescheduling by Prodigy Supply Co.

If Prodigy Supply Co. needs to reschedule an appointment due to scheduling issues, weather, emergency, vehicle issue, staffing issue, equipment issue, illness, operational need, or another reason, the $225 minimum booking payment remains credited toward the rescheduled appointment and should not be forfeited.

Prodigy Supply Co. will make reasonable efforts to offer a new appointment time when rescheduling is necessary.

No-Shows

A no-show may include failure to appear, failure to respond, failure to provide access, failure to have shears ready, providing an incorrect location, or otherwise preventing the appointment from being completed at the scheduled time.

No-shows may result in forfeiture of the $225 minimum booking payment.

Late Arrival or Delays

Customers should be available at the scheduled appointment time.

If the customer is late or causes a delay, Prodigy Supply Co. may shorten, reschedule, or cancel the appointment based on schedule availability.

Late arrival or customer-caused delay may result in forfeiture of the booking payment if the appointment cannot be completed.

Service Changes

Final pricing may change if the actual number of shears, service type, shear condition, corrective work, or requested service differs from the original booking information.

Additional charges must be paid before or at the time of service unless Prodigy Supply Co. approves another arrangement.

Payment for Additional Charges

Additional charges may include extra shears, corrective repair, advanced correction, special handling, additional services, or approved service changes.

Additional charges may be collected on-site, through a manual WooCommerce order, through a payment link, or through another approved payment method.

Customer Satisfaction and Service Concerns

Customers should inspect completed work as soon as reasonably possible.

If there is a concern with completed shear sharpening service, contact Prodigy Supply Co. promptly at support@prodigysupplyco.com with your name, appointment details, shear information, and a description of the concern.

Service concerns are reviewed individually. Prodigy Supply Co. may request photos, additional details, or an inspection before determining whether any adjustment, correction, credit, or other resolution is appropriate.

Limitations

Sharpening and repair services involve physical work on customer-owned shears.

Prodigy Supply Co. is not responsible for pre-existing damage, prior improper sharpening, hidden defects, poor steel quality, manufacturer defects, normal wear and tear, misuse, improper cleaning, improper storage, dropped shears, altered shears, bent shears, missing parts, or conditions that existed before service.

Prodigy Supply Co. does not guarantee that damaged, worn, altered, low-quality, or previously mis-sharpened shears can be fully restored.

Product Sales During Service Visits

If products are offered or sold during a shear sharpening visit, product purchases may be subject to Prodigy Supply Co.’s Terms of Use, Returns & Refunds Policy, Shipping & Delivery Policy, and any product-specific terms.

Service Area

Service area availability may change based on location, schedule, route planning, staffing, weather, events, and operational needs.

Submitting a booking request does not guarantee that the requested location is inside the service area.

Communication

Customers are responsible for monitoring email, phone, and text communications related to their booking.

Failure to respond to appointment questions, confirmation requests, rescheduling messages, or service-related communications may result in appointment delay, cancellation, or decline.

Relationship to Other Policies

These Shear Sharpening Service Terms work together with Prodigy Supply Co.’s Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Returns & Refunds Policy, Shipping & Delivery Policy, and any booking or checkout terms shown at the time of scheduling or payment.
